As the FBI hate crime statistics consistently puts anti-Jewish hate crimes at the top of anti-religious hate crimes, should the paper have written, "The shooting in Poway, about 25 miles north of San Diego, coincides with a significant spike in hate crimes, including acts of anti-Semitism."?

58.1 percent were victims of crimes motivated by their offenders’ anti-Jewish bias.
18.6 percent were victims of anti-Islamic (Muslim) bias.
