Will the store be open next week?

I was buying some nuts at a store not far frommy house when I heard a customer question the proprietor, "Will the store be open next Tuesday?"
His response was, "Unless the Mashiach comes, we will be open next Tuesday."

It was a pleasant experience for me to hear a man, in the midst of his everyday agenda, who had Mashiach on his mind. Bimheira Beyamenu.

A Song of Unity

As I watched the moving video on The Yeshiva World this morning of a protestor reduced to tears upon hearing the song "Shalom Aleichem," I thought to myself what a wonderful song can be composed using the clip as a backdrop. I made up a melody and was struggling with fitting in the lyrics, so I asked Chatgpt to do it for me.

Here is the outcome sans melody.

Verse 1: Tears fall down, a helmet in his hand
The soulful sound of the song so grand
He wipes his face, moved by the beat
The melody lifting him off his feet

Chorus: Shalom aleichem, malachei ha'shalom
Malachei elyon, mimelech malchei hamelachim
Hakadosh baruch hu

Verse 2: In Bnei Brak, the song plays on and on
The protester sways until dawn
He sings along with great emotion
Reminded of his father's devotion

Chorus: Bo'achem le'shalom, malachei ha'shalom
Malachei elyon, mimelech malchei hamelachim
Hakadosh baruch hu

Verse 3: Ahavas chinam, love without end
His father's words, a message to send
The Chareidi girl captures the scene
A moment of unity in between

Chorus: Barchuni le'shalom, malachei ha'shalom
Malachei elyon, mimelech
malchei hamelachim
Hakadosh baruch hu

Verse 4: The pinetle yid, a spark within
Igniting love for his fellow kin
The power of music, the power of the soul
Filling the streets, making us whole

Chorus: Tzeitchem le'shalom, malachei ha'shalom
Malachei elyon, mimelech
malchei hamelachim
Hakadosh baruch hu

Outro: The power of Shabbos, the power of sound
Linking us together, in a moment so profound
The pinetle yid, watch and see
The love and unity that we can be.

Wishing you all a Shabbat shalom, one filled with ahavat chinam and unity.
