Canada’s House Speaker Apologizes After Ukrainian Who Fought for Nazis Was Honored
House Speaker apologizes for honouring Ukrainian who fought with Nazi unit -Video
One comment that I wholeheartedly agree with posted on a livestream from Park Avenue Synagogue as Dr. Martin Indyk and Richard Haass discuss current events on Yim Kippur. - My 2 cents: Politics-related talk should not be part of this; this is a day to focus on other things.
Another moment that caught my attention was when the woman who was officiating the service made a comment before the reading of the Torah which details forbidden relations. "We are reading the section of the Torah about rules about holiness. How to be a holy person, how to live a holy life. If you're following along, I'd encourage you to think critically about they ways that we today in 2023 live a holy life an how that is sometimes consistent with what we read here and how sometimes our world keeps moving on."
