It's about time that we are being recognized by what we really are 'a people and a faith', it's a little disheartening that our people are so far away from knowing who they are and that this is first being said and maybe with enough exposure, the typical secular Jew will learn a little more about his roots. We are a people & a family and our so-called religion is really 'the Eternal Truth'. There is no such word in the Torah referred to as 'religion'. If we compare our Torah to religion then we are equating it with, c'v, avodah zora which all the others are. We, the Jewish people, the children of Avraham, Yitzchak & Yaakov are all part of that Eternal Truth. The reference to it as a religion bothered a great Rabbi named Rabbi Chaim Zimmerman,zt'l, who was upset when other rabbis referred to Judaism as a religion and not saying it is the Eternal Truth. Am glad that we are now referred to as a specific ethnic entity and people, called the Jewish people which we have been since the time of our Patriarchs and Matriarchs and became the nation of Israel at Har Sinai when we received G-D's holy Torah.
