In the video below, Rabbi Tokayer speaks about thanking Hashem. Recently I went to a lecture in which the speaker related that she recites Tehillim Perek 100, which begins with words of thanks to Hashem, throughout the day. After I heard the lecture, I had a dental appointment which went better than I expected. I took out a seferTehillim and recited Perek 100.
There is an organization in Israel which distributes pocket sized cards that contain the words of asher yatzar, perek 100, and also a special prayer of thanks to Hashem, even during what we perceive as bad times. If you call them at 054 849 8704, they will mail you the cards to you for free in Israel.
