For those of haven't caught the Fox News interview with Robert Spencer, Zuhdi Jasser and Former CIA Counterterrorism Analyst, Michael Scheur, the following is a question posed to Mr. Scheur at minute 9:42 of the tape.
Is an Obama backing of a Mubarak government a sign to the people of Egypt... that we are still firmly implanted on the side of Israel?
Oh sure, it is. Israel is such an enormous detriment to the United States - our relationship with the Israelis - that it's going to become clear to Americans that this is just gonna cost us blood and lives the longer we pursue this relationship with the Israelis.
And you wonder why Jonathan Pollard hasn't been released?
May Yehonatan ben Malka be released speedily, along with Gilad ben Aviva.

ReplyDeleteI happened to catch this on 'radio' last night. At that time I didn't know it was Beck's show. I wasn't surprised to hear that comment by Sheuer but I hadn't heard such a definitive statement by him before. He always seemed to insinuate such but hadn't been so clear. Now we know for certain.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who this host was but why didn't he speak out against such a remark. This is the problem with American media; they put on these disgusting people like Sheuer and Buchanan etc., as if they have some worthwhile input.
When a local radio station had Buchanan on a couple times I sent an email expressing my disgust but the radio host wouldn't believe such a thing about Buchanan. And THESE are "conservatives". Even Hannity has had Buchanan on numerous times. So these people who say they support Israel really can't be trusted. Their support is mirky at best.
I found Sheuer's comment to be shocking and outrageous in that he felt perfectly free to state outright that he thinks the US should abandon Israel (and maybe even fight her?). Maybe it's better this way rather than the insinuations that "Anonymous" mentioned. At least we know what we're dealing with.
