Scandals and conspiracy theories

Thought I would provide you with a few definitions this evening.

When a liberal newspaper reports on "an action or event regarded as morally or legally wrong and causing general public outrage" the word used is scandal, but only if it involves Republicans.

If it involves Democrats then the word scandal is not used but, rather, the ubiquitous 'conspiracy theorists' are at work to discredit Democrats meme is used. - Trump Fuels Intrigue Surrounding a Former I.T. Worker’s Arrest

When a right-wing newspaper reports on a scandal relating to the Democrats then the word "bombshell" or "breaking" is used.

When an organization exposes an Imam's hateful comments about Jews, the word "Islamophobia" is used.

When the same organization translates an Imam's second sermon given a week prior to the one that is capturing a slight bit of media attention, the words that are used is 'taken out of context" and "mistranslated."
