Whoever pursues charity and kindness will find life and charity and honor.

    Metsudath David commentary:
Whoever runs to perform kindness and charity with people, [he or she] will receive life, because his life will be lengthened; and he will receive what he needs from G_d, Who will be his Savior; and [he will receive] honor, because people will honor him, or G_d will honor him with [much] money, which is a kind of great honor.

CHRONOLOGY: The Metsudath David commentary was written by Rabbi David Altschuler of Galicia and published in year 1753 of the Common Era.
