The University of Michigan’s Center for the Education of Women has withdrawn an invitation for author and anti-Israel activist Alice Walker to speak at its 50th anniversary event next year.
According to Walker, the invitation was rescinded because of objections by donors to her anti-Israel activities.

In a blog post published Thursday an official at the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan wrote that “the importance of the use of boycott” to pressure “Israel to end the occupation is unquestionable”— as long as it’s not his film festival being boycotted.
