Intolerable

This morning, I saw an opinion piece titled "Mamdani acts like a petulant teen in front of the king and queen." Nicole Gelinas writes about the mayor's meeting with King Charles, "It wasn’t just the mayor’s rudeness, but his tone and demeanor. Mamdani did his best version of a petulant teen betraying intolerable boredom."

When I read the article, I was upset about how the King was being treated. Half an hour later, I was reciting morning prayers when I found my mind wandering. And I realized at that moment that I was speaking to the King. I resolved to treat the King of Kings with more respect than that accorded to the King of England.
