Allegedly

When the Rebbe Screamed "No"

לך למיילך"; ההוראה של הרבי והישועה של החולה"

Marc Lamont Hill wrote an article a number of months ago in defense of Rasmea Odeh, A Palestinian who accepted a plea deal.

...her conviction in 1970 was by an Israeli military court, ... it was allegedly based on a false confession made by Odeh,,,

Odeh has already spent over a month in prison — three weeks of it in the torturous conditions of solitary confinement, allegedly.

Why does Professor Hill need to use the word "allegedly" if he accepts her version of events as factual?

Jewish Voice for Peace has a video on its site titled Israel Palestinian Conflict 101. Why does the video use a map depicting historical Palestine as a lot less than what was historical Palestine? Why don't they use map 1 as an accurate depiction of historical Palestine?

  1. Forgive me..
I am not a Jew... i just try to follow Hashem..
I read when i come to your blog.. read on top the words of the Lubavitcher Rebbe:

"Where does it say that you have a contract with G-d to have an easy life?"

    I totally understand and agree..

No one today has an easy life... there are ups and downs.

sometimes it just gets so hard to cope.. i know they say, pray, do teshuca, give charity.. pray.. do teshuva..

    and on and on..
but it does sometimes seem the load is becoming so unbearable.

I am not a Jew.. i just try to follow as best as i can..
i am so tired... now.. in mind, in body in spirit..
    Why?? i do not know..
    also too alone...

Like i know a lot of old people are, be they Jews, or gentiles.. or whatever one wishes to call them.

Hashem bless all needing some extra strength .. amen.

    1. Thank you Devorah, for sending this site via comment.

I have booked marked it and will read it... may it help me come out of this place of bewilderment... that's what i also feel. bewildered... i try and try... like many i know do.. but just keep slip sliding away from where i feel i have reached..
One thing i have stopped doing is that sob sob.. poor me..
but wondering.. yes I do feel sad and confused... trying not to reach that place of despair.

See, its blogs like these, where i come and pour out my complaints... and where invariably, i have almost always been given help and i have always felt so grateful.. then i feel i take advantage of the kindness of the those who run these Jewish frum blogs.. and from visitors too who have many a time with words, tried to reach out to help..
      Hashem bless you all.
this too easy to say.. Please believe i mean it when i ask Hashem to bless each and all of you.. Nothing more i can give.. than just this prayer sent up to Hashem.. (Hope He hears me)

  3. Hello Again,
I went to that place... the Guardian.. not my cuppa tea..

Now i am also not able to do many things i used to.. and that gets me more down.
Purchased a 2nd hand adult stroller and as weather permits, and even with the pains i do intend to at least walk around the block.. (cannot 'rock around-the block;: :-)
The language someimte fromcomments on newspapers, is something else to that puts me off.

    Thank you kindly any way.
