The mystery of how nearly $5 million in diamonds went missing from a Midtown jewelry store has been solved.

As it turns out, some dimwitted workers at J. Birnbach Inc. were helping their boss move to another floor and tossed three weathered wooden boxes filled with diamonds in a heap of trash without bothering to look inside, law-enforcement sources said.

Yahoo has an article which begins with the following paragraph.

The UN voiced deep concern Tuesday over an "unacceptable" wave of Palestinians attacking Israelis, but also slammed Israeli authorities' reported "excessive use of force" in response to the attacks.

There are over 1400 comments posted under the article including, "Seriously? The level of force is excessive, but not the "wave" of terrorism? What should the Israelis do? Stand still, let the knife wielding idiot take their first stab and then measure how deep or egregious the wound is before shooting? Someone comes at you with a knife, the reasonable assumption is that they aim to inflict great bodily harm. As such, they are fully aware that force will be met with force - which is what they want of course."
