The major threats

The Algemeiner has an article titled Former UK Chief Rabbi Identifies Major Threats Facing World Jews in which Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks identifies the "three major threats to the Jewish people: the growth of anti-Semitism, the campaign to delegitimize Israel, and Iran."

The Anti-Defamation League released a sobering worldwide study of anti-Semitic attitudes today that found only 54 percent of people around the globe have heard of the Holocaust and nearly a third believe the World War II systematic slaughter is a myth or overblown.
...Muslims, Foxman said, have “significantly higher anti-Semitic attitudes than other religions” with the highest average index score of 49 percent — compared to a 24 percent average for Christians. The lowest rate of anti-Semitism was found in Buddhists at 17 percent.

KikarHashabat reports on a mall in Haifa which the management has decided to close on Shabbat and Jewish holidays. The deputy mayor of Haifa reacted to the closure by saying that he was pleased with the decision to take into account the feelings of Sabbath observers and there was no doubt that this would help the success of the mall as Shabbat is a day of blessing.

  1. Read the comment by DACON9 ( am familiar with his comments when he used to comment (I think on Arutz 7) and I agree totally with him and if I remember correctly, usually did. He comes straight to the point. European Jews do have a tendendy to be like ghetto Jews more than American Jews. Engish Jews, in particular, are very English first and then Jewish, even the Rabbis.. A Rabbi should know better and never say that we 'need' Xtians or any religion, nation for help - something that Hashem does not take lightly to. We have no one to rely on but our Father in Heaven. DACON9 is absolutely right!
